Sales and Marketing Operations Manager

We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Operations Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing SaaS start-up, and to own, drive and tune the full Sales and Marketing Operations spectrum – from strategy to tactical implementation and day-to-day operation.

You will help build and improve Sales and Marketing data, processes, and operational efficiencies, working on projects that range from high level sales pipeline strategy to the nuts and bolts of daily Salesforce management. You will manage day to day processes between Salesforce, Marketo, Gainsight and other critical systems, including LinkedIn Sales Navigator, DocuSign, Inside View, Lean Data, Insight Squared, Hoopla and more.

This is an Individual Contributor position and you will report directly to the CMO joining a small, but technically sophisticated (and super fun), Marketing team with a stellar Sales and Martech stack. You will be working cross-functionally with our Sales, Pre-Sales, Support, Product, Finance, and Web Teams in our San Mateo headquarters and our New York sales office.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all Sales and Marketing technology, diagnosing problems and implementing technological and process improvements.
  • Provide global day-to-day user support and assist users with best practices to enhance and increase their productivity, knowledge of the systems and operational processes.
  • Drive transparent and strong Marketing and Sales alignment with clear processes, reports and dashboards.
  • Focus on continuous improvement of processes through redesign, system enhancement, and automation. Evaluate and implement additional systems and tools to increase Sales and Marketing optimization.

Marketing Operations Responsibilities

  • You will be the Marketo Administrator and manage and own Marketo and all integrated software.
  • Work with Marketing Director to develop and deploying nurture campaigns, create workflows, build landing pages and run A/B tests from email to forms. Troubleshoot and QA.
  • Develop AMB strategy and deploy ABM software solution.
  • Identify and develop best practices. Build templates to allow Marketing team to build best-in-class campaigns.
  • Measure campaign effectiveness, pipeline contributions and ROI. Provide the Marketing team with actionable insights on where to invest in programs and campaigns.

Sales Operations Responsibilities

  • You will be the Salesforce Administrator and manage and own Salesforce and all integrated software.
  • Ensure data is clean, complete, and organized. Monitor and maintain data quality for all leads, contacts and campaigns. Continuously cleanse and enrich our database and lists.
  • Manage migration of our Salesforce instance to Lightning.
  • Manage and enhance sales processes for territory management, account assignment, and lead routing. Ensure effective lead follow-up by sales of MQLs and SQLs.
  • Sales rep on-boarding/off-boarding.
  • Analyze and optimize our lead scoring system.
  • Design and implement Salesforce reports & dashboards that track key business metrics.
  • Analyze data and identify actionable insights regarding conversion rates, sales performance, pipeline health and behavior, account penetration, etc.

Background and Skills:

  • 5+ experience in a highly relevant role doing Sales and Marketing Operations management, ideally with a B2B technology company.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills with Salesforce and Marketo. Certifications or training a plus! If you do not have Salesforce and Marketo experience please do not apply.
  • Understanding of lead management funnel processes, including MQLs and SQLs.
  • Passion and curiosity for the latest Marketing and Sales tech stack and direct experience in technology evaluation, implementation, and process design and roll-out.
  • Service-oriented attitude toward external and internal audiences. Experience working with sales on leads process.
  • Excellent pragmatic prioritization skills. Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
