Xignite Adds Cboe Europe DXE Venue Coverage to Facilitate EU Trading Post Brexit

Feb 09, 2021 By Vijay Choudhary Categories - Product Updates

Brexit Cross-Border Trading Regulation

Xignite now provides data coverage for Cboe Europe DXE in our real-time and historical financial stock quote APIs, at no additional cost. This new feature helps support our customers across Europe post-Brexit.

When London-based stock exchanges opened for business on January 4, 2021, new Brexit rules regarding cross-border share trading took effect. Those new rules mandate where EU investors can buy and sell European stocks, forcing EU investors to switch their trading from London exchanges to EU venues.

In preparation for Brexit many exchanges had opened hubs in Paris or Amsterdam to comply with the new regulations. Cboe Europe, a pan-European stock exchange operator, launched Cboe NL based in the Netherlands late last year, and introduced Cboe Europe DXE. Through Cboe UK and Cboe NL the exchange now offers trading in more than 6,000 securities across 18 markets, via one network connection and a common rule book. More information on Cboe NL

Enhanced Cboe coverage available for these APIs:

Xignite Global Real Time

Xignite Global Historical

Xignite Global Quotes

List of Securities trading on these venues are available under following Market Identification Codes (MICs):

  • Cboe CXE under CHIX
  • Cboe BXE under BATE
  • Cboe DXE under CEUX

All trades/quotes, VWAP and bars related API endpoints support these venues.

Xignite automatically processes all the corporate actions and security identifier changes using the underlying security (which could be listed on any of those 18 markets) making it extremely easy for customers to access the historical corporate actions adjusted data without dealing with the associated complexity.
