When Dina graduated from NYU Stern in the middle of the 2002 stock market crash not many companies were hiring. Forsaking her dreams of a glamorous career in fashion marketing, she joined Capital IQ as a Marketing Associate. Little did she know two decades later she would still be in the financial services industry and crushing it as a top sales leader.
After just two years at Capital IQ the company was acquired by S&P Market and Dina’s responsibilities quadruple. “All of a sudden I was managing branding, messaging, collaterals, and events globally.” Dina caught the travel bug and when an opportunity opened Dina moved to Beijing to help open the Capital IQ office. Once that team was established, she transferred to the company's office in Sydney to start her next adventure After several years thought she was back in her hometown of New York City.
“At S&P, I was part of the partnerships team and I had a real interest in fintech. I kept hearing about Xignite and would often run into them at events.” Large companies can often be difficult for startups to work with and when an opportunity to join Xignite came Dina jumped at the chance to join the Silicon Valley-based company and make a difference. And what a difference she had made! Dina is our leading Sales Director and has won the President’s Award the past 2 years.
Today, Dina works from home on a rocking chair in a spare bedroom until Xignite’s New York office reopens - juggling homeschooling her two children, cooking, cleaning, and selling market data!
