Real-time, Delayed and Historical Global Indices

This web service provides real-time, delayed and historical index values for more than 1200 US and global market indices.

Historical Data

Historical and end-of-day closing stock indices are typically available from 1994 onward or from the index inception. Some older historical values are also available. If you need older historical index values or closing values for other indices, please contact us. Historical and end-of-day index data is typically not fee-liable. Dow Jones Indices does require reporting of firms receiving end-of-day access to Dow Jones index values. Volume information is available on some indices only.

Delayed Data

Delayed index values are available for most of the supported indices. Some of the index families require firms that display delayed index data on web sites and portals to establish distribution agreements and pay distribution fees. The table below summarizes those requirements for the major index families.

Real-Time Data

Real-time data is available for some index families. Real-time data is almost always fee-liable. Fees may include distributor fees and user fees. Please refer to the table below for details.
