Director of Marketing

We are looking for a Director of Marketing with a strong background in market data or financial technology solutions targeting the capital markets segment to join our growing marketing team. Based at our headquarters in San Mateo or in our Sales office in New York City, this role provides a unique opportunity for the ideal candidate to take on the challenge of building upon our growth by expertly leading and executing demand generation, Account-Based Marketing and content creation initiatives.

Xignite’s clients include more than 1,000 financial services, media and software companies from disruptive fintech firms, such as Betterment, FutureAdvisor, Motif Investing, Personal Capital, Robinhood, StockTwits, Wealthfront and Yodlee, to leading financial institutions, exchanges and market data vendors including, QUICK, NASDAQ OMX, and Bank of Montreal.

Responsibilities

  • Outline and drive a demand generation plan across a variety of channels, including digital, social, website, paid advertising, SEO, and events.
  • Develop strong messaging and value propositions for Xignite’s market data and platform solutions and promote thought leadership through curated and created content. Write/edit content for landing pages, presentations, newsletters, blogs, emails, etc.
  • Produce a high volume of automated email drip campaigns.
  • Deliver sales enablement tools including collateral, ROI calculators, presentations, sales tools, etc.
  • Collaborate with other Marketing team members and the Sales, Partner and Product organizations to ensure strategy, messaging, branding and execution are consistent and coordinated.
  • Analyze program performance and marketing attribution, and continually optimize for conversions.
  • Deliver results throughout the demand funnel from incoming leads to MQLs, SQLs and closed deals. Exceed MQL quotas and pipeline targets.

Desired Skills

  • Excellent sales writing skills, with experience in writing emails and landing pages.
  • Understanding of the demand funnel, including leads, MQLs, SALs, and SQLs.
  • Data driven with deep experience measuring marketing contribution to revenue.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail and ability to manage shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work with entrepreneurial leadership and an informal corporate culture.
  • Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done.
  • Able to forge strong relationships with sales, product and other team members at all levels of the organization.

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience in marketing to B2B financial technology providers targeting the capital markets segment.
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences, building buyer personas, and devising multi-channel marketing campaigns that engage, educate, and convert.
  • Expert level understanding of Marketo, including directly creating lists, landing pages, email marketing programs, nurture tracks, segmentation, personalization and promoting events.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce. Proven ability to create SFDC reports and dashboards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field preferred.
