To maintain its visual integrity, the logo should always be surrounded by open space, separate from any surrounding detail. Clear space must be provided around the logo on all sides, equally, so that no type, design or photographic elements encroach on the trademark.
The corporate trademark must always maintain its intended aspect, and not be skewed, stretched or altered. Particular attention should be made when placing the corporate trademark in an application (such as Microsoft Word, or PowerPoint), where the image proportions are changed simply by dragging the corners of the picture window box. This will change the aspect ratio of the trademark and is unacceptable.
