InsideView is not Umberto Milletti's first successful startup. Milletti was also a co-founder of DigitalThink, a leading provider of Web-based corporate training services. He helped lead DigitalThink to a successful IPO, growing annual revenues to $60 million, and ultimately to its sale to Convergys in 2004.
Milletti started InsideView in 2005 to create a different kind of sales intelligence service, designed to keep sales professionals informed about the people and companies they most want to understand -- their prospects and customers. InsideView's unique opportunity intelligence and analysis technology helps salespeople more effectively learn about the business priorities and decision-making structure of prospects. InsideView offers detailed, up-to-date sales intelligence about key managers, strategic initiatives, corporate pain points, and competitors.
To provide this information to its clients, InsideView needed to access and mine a large set of quantitative and qualitative information including press releases and SEC filings. "XigniteEdgar and XigniteReleases made it easy for us to access this information. We were able to focus on our opportunity dashboards based on information mining and aggregation technology for our clients instead of spending time building processes to simply collect the information,” Milletti says. “Xignite web services helped us build our solution much quicker and at a much lower cost."
And InsideView is not stopping there. The company recently announced the availability of its solution on the popular
CRM/SFA platforms which include the AppExchange platform of
SalesForce.com
and the SugarExchange commerical open source platform of
SugarCRM.
